Talbot Green Extra Care Solar PV Installation
In June 2019, 1 Vision Solar collaborated with Weston Electrical to install an 8.4 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Talbot Green Extra Care facility in Talbot Green, Wales. This project aimed to enhance the building's energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint
Design and Installation
The installation was completed efficiently over two days by 1 Vision Solar's team of MCS-accredited installers. The Valk 10° mounting system was selected for its non-penetrative design, which preserves the roof's integrity while providing an optimal tilt angle to maximise solar energy generation.
Environmental and Financial Impact
The solar PV system is projected to generate approximately 7,283 kWh of renewable energy annually, leading to an estimated reduction of 4,370 kg in CO₂ emissions each year. Financially, the system is expected to yield a return on investment of £21,850 over 20 years, demonstrating the economic benefits of adopting renewable energy solutions.
