In June 2019, 1 Vision Solar collaborated with RDM to install a 7 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system on Swansea University's Building B12, enhancing the building's energy efficiency and sustainability.

Design and Installation:

The system was installed on a flat roof using a specialist non-penetrative mounting system set at a 10° angle. This tilt optimises the solar panels' exposure to sunlight, thereby maximising energy generation. Given the building's significance to university students, achieving optimal performance was paramount.

1 Vision Solar's MCS-accredited installation team efficiently completed the installation, commissioning, and handover of the 25-panel system within three days, ensuring minimal disruption to university operations.

Environmental and Financial Impact:

The solar PV system is projected to produce approximately 6,069 kWh of renewable energy annually, leading to an estimated reduction of 4,200 kg in CO₂ emissions each year. Financially, the system is expected to yield a return on investment of £18,207 over 20 years, demonstrating the economic benefits of adopting renewable energy solutions.

This project exemplifies 1 Vision Solar's commitment to delivering tailored renewable energy solutions that meet the specific needs of clients, contributing to environmental sustainability and operational cost savings.
