The Russell School in Richmond, England, partnered with 1 Vision Solar and CMBE to install a 24 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system, enhancing the school’s sustainability while reducing energy costs.
Design and Installation
1 Vision Solar utilised PVSol software for system design, ensuring optimal panel placement and orientation to maximise energy output. The Valk 10° mounting system was selected for its reliability and efficiency, providing the ideal tilt for energy generation while preserving the roof’s structural integrity.
The installation was completed, commissioned, and handed over within six days by a team of MCS-accredited installers, minimising disruption to the school’s operations.
Environmental and Financial Impact
The system’s annual energy production of approximately 20,808 kWh delivers significant environmental benefits, reducing CO₂ emissions by 12,485 kg each year. Financially, the school expects a return on investment of £62,424 over 20 years, demonstrating the project’s economic feasibility.
This successful project highlights 1 Vision Solar’s dedication to delivering sustainable, efficient energy solutions tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions.
